Bonsai 

Bonsai is the art of miniaturizing trees or creating or altering woody plants to take the shape of miniature trees ( Bonsai ).

The art of Bonsai originated in china and later taken up in Japan which is where it evolved to the form we are familiar with in modern times. Bonsai was originally confined to the Buddhist monks but before long it became a symbol of prestige and honour among the aristocrats.

Bonsai is a long term hobby. Although the initial stages of pruning or modifying a plant can be time consuming, the ongoing stages are a slow process.

Bonsai plants need care all the time but as far as achieving your goal of a beautiful and quality bonsai you have to be prepared to wait years.
