HYDROPONIC GARDEN
Growing A Hydroponic Garden Can Make For A Wonderful
Hobby
In the recent past, more and more people have taken to tending to a hydroponic garden as their hobby. It all actually began in the twenties and thirties
when Dr. W. F. Gericke successfully grew plants on a big scale and he called his method hydroponics.

Today, there are both commercial and private hydroponic garden options that are generally used where there is
insufficient soil and which if available is not suitable for growing plants. If you want to make this your hobby
you must take into account several factors including getting the temperature right. In addition, you have to
provide adequate light and water plus you need to ensure that the plants get proper amount of oxygen.
You should also have on hand a fourteen gallon Rubbermaid tub which should also be opaque to ensure that light
does not get through. Next, it is necessary to buy air stones and about three large and round ones will do very
well. You will also need to use a valve for these stones and in addition you must also purchase an aquarium
pump.
Other items that need to be purchased include air tubing and six net baskets as well as Rockwool and nutrient.
And, finally you need to purchase plants although you can also choose to use seeds. It is also important to decide
what you want to grow and in what quantities and then you need to estimate the area required helping you grow your
plant.
Make the right hydroponic solution consisting of water and fertilizer and then plant the seeds or plants and
also remove all soil from the roots. Next, put the seeds or plants in the growing medium and then control the mix
of nutrients and water.
With this done, you can then sit back and wait for the plants to grow which should take between twelve and
eighteen weeks and then you can harvest your plants. If you are stuck at any point of time then you should look for
a guide to help you succeed with raising a Hydroponic garden.
